Create Checklist

With the help of Checklists, you can plan and estimate the scope of work, as well as to check if you covered all tests to the deadlines. You can use checklists as a database by adding descriptions and files directly to the checklists.

To create Checklists, perform the following steps:

  1. Right mouse click on the Object (IP, Hostname, or Port);
  2. In the drop-down menu select the option Add Checklist:

  3. Enter checklist name and press Enter. New checklist item appears next to the Object:

  4. To edit the checklist, right mouse click on the checklist item and select one of the options:

Add checklists from templates

Note: to use this option, you should first create checklist templates.

To add Checklist from a template, perform the following steps:

  1. Right mouse click on the Object (IP, Hostname, Port);
  2. In the drop-down menu select the option Add Checklist;
  3. In the right column select checklist:

    • Project checklist displays checklists that are not linked to the Objects in Project data tab;
    • Knowledge base contains a set of custom checklists templates.

  4. Click on the checklist item in the right column to add it to the selected Object;

  5. Checklist appears next to the selected Object.

Add description and files to the checklists

To add description:

  1. Click on checklist item:

  2. In the checklist menu on the right click on next to Description:

  3. Add description and click on to save it;

After saving your description, an icon appears next to the checklist item:

To switch between Description and Objects, click on active links:

In addition, you can view the description changelog by clicking on History.

Checklists management

All checklists of your project are stored at Checklist tab. In this tab you can:

  • add/edit/delete checklists;
  • add/delete new items in the checklists;
  • edit checklist description;
  • view information about checklists (such as linked objects, description, and history changelog);
  • mark checklists as resolved;
  • save checklists as templates in the Knowledge base;
  • view complete/incomplete checklists.

To call the menu, right mouse click on the checklist item and select needed option:

In the right upper corner of the window you can select display of the Checklists.

Create checklist templates

To create checklist template:

  1. Go to Checklist > Knowledge base tab;
  2. Enter the checklist Name.
  3. Add several Items. Press Enter to add checklist items;

Note: to add or remove sub-items to the checklist use TAB or Shift + TAB buttons.

  1. Click Esc to exit edit mode and cancel changes in checklist template. New template will be added to the Knowledge Base.

Export and import checklist templates

To export checklist template:

  1. Go to Checklist > Knowledge base tab;
  2. Click Template > Export;
  3. In the Export template window select template name;
  4. In the Filename field enter name of the file (optional);

Note: if the filename is not indicated, all exported checklists will be entitled as template_export.txt.

  1. File will be downloaded in .TXT format.

To import checklist template:

  1. Go to Checklist > Knowledge base tab;
  2. Click Template > Import from file;
  3. In Import template window click Browse to upload a file in .TXT format: or click Import text as file and add rows of coded checklist;

  4. In the Filename field enter name of the file (optional);

  5. File will be uploaded to the templates Knowledge base.
