Add users to the Apiary Platform

Like in Hive to create teams in Apiary projects, invite users to the Platform. Everyone can register at the platform. However, all new users should be approved by administrators. Unapproved user will not be able to work in the Apiary Platform.

Invite users to the Platform

Note: only administrators can invite users to Apiary Platform.

  1. Log in to Apiary platform as an administrator;
  2. At the homepage click on user icon and select Manage Users in the drop-down menu;

  1. Click + User in the upper right corner of the page;
  2. In the New user window fill all mandatory fields: Email and Password;
  3. Assign user the administrative rights if necessary (optional);

Note: only Platform administrators can assign users administrative rights.

  1. Click Save. New user appears in the Manage users list.

Note: to approve user you will need administrative rights.

All unconfirmed users appear in Manage users list. To confirm or reject selected users at the Platform click Accept/Decline, or click Approve All/Decline All to confirm all unconfirmed users in the list.

To edit user parameters click on user. In User window you can block users.

User roles

There are two roles at the Platform - user and administrator.

Note: unconfirmed users cannot work in the Platform.

Administrators have access to all functions of the Platform.

Users have the following rights:

  1. Projects:
    • create projects;
    • invite users to the owned projects;
    • assign roles to the members of the owned project;
    • access to the shared projects (Owner, Editor);
    • access to the shares issues.
  2. Platform:
    • edit personal account
